About this property

Welcome to Casa Noma-Noma

Casa Noma-Noma is a small hotel and wellness center located in the tranquil area of Punta Cocos on Isla Holbox. Its unique circular design and private pool provide a relaxing atmosphere, complemented by beautifully decorated, airy suites that often feature private patios with hammocks. Guests frequently appreciate the garden surroundings and the quiet, less crowded beaches nearby, offering a peaceful retreat away from the island's busier parts.

The property’s setting is ideal for those seeking a calm getaway, with easy access to Playa Punta Cocos and Playa Holbox, both known for their white sands and scenic views. Activities such as walking or biking to the town center and beach clubs are popular, while the hotel staff are noted for their helpfulness in providing local tips and arranging wellness services like massages. Although the location is slightly removed from the main town, the short walking distance to the beach and nearby restaurants adds convenience.

Accommodations include air-conditioned rooms with rooftop terraces and thoughtful touches like handmade soaps. Daily breakfast is well-reviewed for its variety and quality, often highlighted by guests as a pleasant start to the day. The pool, while small, is described as a nice spot for cooling off. Staff friendliness and attentive service contribute positively to the experience, with mentions of multilingual communication and personalized care.

While the hotel is praised for comfort and tranquility, some guests note a rustic element typical of this side of the island, including occasional encounters with bugs. This aspect may be a consideration for travelers sensitive to such conditions but is generally accepted as part of the natural environment. Overall, Casa Noma-Noma suits couples or visitors looking for a restful, low-key stay in a picturesque setting with easy access to Holbox’s natural attractions.

We had a great time at Casa Noma Noma! The location is excellent—just one block away from a peaceful little beach. The staff was really kind and welcoming, and we truly felt at home. Omar helped us with lots of tips of the island and was always checking to see if everything was perfect. The hotel itself is beautiful and stylish, and the breakfast was delicious and had a lot of options to choose from. I highly recommend this hotel and Holbox as a whole. The island is well organized, everyone we met was warm and friendly, and we loved all the food we tried during our stay. Would definitely come back.

We are so happy we stayed here!! Casa Noma Noma was perfect for us - we wanted a restful, peaceful place and it exceeded our expectations. It is on the quiet side of the island, walking distance to the most beautiful beach, beach clubs, food, etc. It is very easy to get into town - either walking, biking, or a short taxi ride. The staff was the sweetest and most accommodating. And the bed was SO comfortable. We were concerned about bugs being on the "buggy" side of the island, but no issues at all. We had an occasional fun gecko come into our room and maybe he/she gobbled up any mosquitoes! We would stay here again for sure!!

Casa Noma Noma is a unique property designed for relaxation and a quiet stay. Marcela and her team were very friendly and treated us like family. Noma Noma and Punta Cocos are so peaceful; the airy suites offer stunning views and lovely decor. I enjoyed the handmade soap in the bathroom and the eco-friendliness of the hotel. The private patio was my favorite, with a table and hammock to sit outside and enjoy the breeze. The pool is perfect for cooling off after exploring. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and Marcela arranged great massages on our balcony. There's a beautiful beach just a 2-minute walk away at Agua De Coco beach club & restaurant, featuring amazing drinks and food with the most stunning beach ever. Punta Cocos was around an 8-minute walk from Noma Noma and worth a visit. I recommend Holbox Magico, which is known for its pink hammocks and great fish tacos and drinks. While bugs were an issue, it's expected in a rustic setting, and we managed to get them outside safely. We highly recommend this property and will return. Disliked · This is more of the rustic side of the island, so there are more bugs on this side, which tend to get into your room.

Where do I begin...the first thing I will focus on is the staff: Luis (the hotel liaison/manager) was so incredibly informative, responsive and accommodating, even before we arrived on the island. My girlfriend and I stayed at Noma Noma in the middle of October after the island had been hit by 2 hurricanes and a tropical storm back to back. Luis kept us comfortable upon arrival and even upgraded our rooms due to the cancellations of others (because the hot water supply was damaged during the storm and was out during our stay - honestly the days were hot even in Oct and it was fine). The sweetest lady ever cooked the HEAVENLY breakfast every morning from a small rotating menu and was so kind and made the best food I've ever eaten. All of the staff we encountered were so kind and helpful. It was convenient that I and my friend who came with us spoke Spanish, but his wife and my gf didn't and we're still able to communicate with them easily enough. When a taxi driver tried to get us to spend a lot of money on a nearby bioluminescent experience, Luis sent me a map pin and gave us a flashlight and texted me exactly the best time to go and how to get there via a 10min walk. Next thing is the hotel itself. Located on the far side of the island, most taxis upcharged to get there because of the flooded roads (we literally went on an adventure every time we took one through massive lakes and streets flooded to your knees or waist, it was actually super fun). But that didn't matter really because you can walk along the beautiful beach to get to town in 15-20min, and if you want there are a ton of absolutely amazing beachfront bars and restaurants from other hotels that you can stop at. The views from the hotel are gorgeous and it's slightly back from the beach itself giving a bit of jungle vibes as you're surrounded by vegetation, but in the coolest way. The rates were super affordable and the pool was the perfect temperature and the beds very comfy (I slept like a rock every night as did my gf who has trouble sleeping most places). They cleaned the rooms daily and treated us so so well. We plan on returning to Noma Noma as soon as we can, for the breakfast and overall wonderful stay.

If you want a peaceful retreat- this is the perfect spot. It only has 6 rooms and is located on the quieter stretch of the island. Rooms are really nice as is the service. Daily breakfast is tasty and plentiful. Small pool but nice for lounging.

What a beautiful and relaxing hotel. The rooms are small and beautiful with air-conditioning. Only a shelf in the cupboard would help, to store some clothes every room has it's roofed terrace, a fridge on every floor to cool some drinks. Beautiful garden with sand, the pool is more than relaxing, different levels to chill on. The team is so friendly, also my Spanish is bad and their English also , we were always able to communicate. Very good coffee in the morning, and every day a variety of dishes you can choose from. Dinner is also available and very good! The hotel is located in the quieter area of the island, so the beaches are not that packed. We really loved that place, thanks.

Very very friendly owner, who helps with everything if needed. Beautiful & calm rooms. Delicious breakfast and the beach is almost private. It is on the calm side of the island which was a big big plus! Would love to come back anytime, amazing place to stay!
